Our History
It was the wind that made me fall in love with Brazil. Almost all year long it lifts kites into the sky – and it was the wind that brought me here less than two years ago. One night, I passed by the garage of a kitesurfer friend: he was throwing away some pretty beat-up kites.
“This one helped me with my first jumps,” he said, pointing to the canvas full of holes.
“And this was my son’s favorite,” he said, unfurling a faded kite.
I listened to each story: the gusty sessions, the salty splashes, the shouts of victory in the sand… and I thought: you can't just throw these memories in the trash.
I took the kites home and, one morning, I cut and sewed the first bag. The wind was stored in the seams, the salt from the sea was stored in the stitches, and each colorful patch was a personal achievement. That's how ReFly Bags was born: we transform kites that have flown a lot into pieces that continue to inspire travel and remind us that every story carried by the wind deserves a second life.
